The difference between centrifugal fan and axial fan

- Oct 25, 2019-

1. The direction of exhausting the two is different.

The air inlet and the air outlet of the axial flow fan are on a parallel line, so the exhaust direction of the axial flow fan is straight in the direction of the axis. The exhaust direction of the centrifugal fan is perpendicular to the air inlet, so the exhaust direction of the centrifugal fan is 360°.

2. Energy consumption and effect are different.

The axial flow fan cools slowly, the cooling effect is good, the unit energy consumption is low, the ventilation timing is easy to grasp, and fogging is not easy to occur. The centrifugal fan has obvious cooling and precipitation effects, short ventilation time, high unit energy consumption, and poor fogging time.

3. The difficulty of installation is different.

Axial fans are usually mounted directly on the wall or connected to the duct, so the installation is relatively simple. The installation of centrifugal fans is relatively complicated.

4. The motor connection method is different.

The motor of the axial flow fan is generally installed in the body of the fan, and the motor of the centrifugal fan is connected by a shaft, and is generally externally disposed outside the fan shaft of the fan.

5, the appearance is different.

The axial flow fan is generally cylindrical, and the centrifugal fan is generally snail-shaped.

6, the wind pressure is different.

The air flow pressure of the axial flow fan is relatively small, basically no wind pressure; the air volume of the centrifugal fan is relatively large. If the resistance of the pipeline is large and the distance of the pumping wind is long, it is recommended to use a centrifugal fan.
