- May 14, 2020-

According to the analysis of the Chinese Center for Disease Control, pneumonia infected by the new coronavirus is mainly transmitted through respiratory droplets, and can also be transmitted through contact.

The main transmission routes are:

1. Direct communication. Refers to close contact, direct inhalation of the patient's sneezing, coughing, speaking of droplets and exhaled gas that cause infection;

2. Aerosol transmission. It means that the patient sneezes, coughs, and the droplets produced by the speech mix with the air to form an aerosol, which is absorbed and causes infection;

3. Contact spread refers to the patient's sneezing, coughing, and the droplets generated by the speech depositing on the surface of the object, contacting the contaminated hands, and then contacting the oral cavity, nasal cavity, eyes and other mucosa to cause infection.

Therefore, the new coronavirus will not spread through food.
